So yesterday the goal was to be out and about. We've been spending a fair bit of time in the car and we wanted to change it up a bit. I did what little driving we did today and drove from Nelson Bay where we are staying over about 5 miles to Shoal Bay. We were heading to the Tomaree Reserve. The reserve is located around the bay and the head. There are a few large, very steep hills in this area as well. There is a trail up to the top of one of the hills and is called Tomaree Summit. It was a steep climb up, but we managed. It was certainly less of a climb than up the mountains last year in Montana.
The view from the summit was awesome.
