Wednesday

Okay, I know it is now Thursday but I had to write about a couple of things that happened on Wednesday.
I went to the MOMS Club meeting in the morning and had a nice lunch with the youngest two boys. I put Sam down for his nap after Joe got home from school at 1:30. Anne Arundel County School had a two hour early dismissal yesterday (as well as today, tomorrow and Monday and then off school Tuesday and Wednesday).
I then had Joe try to teach me how to start the log splitter. We ran out of firewood on Tuesday and Jay didn't feel like splitting any after work on Tuesday. Our basement's only source of heat is the woodstove right now. Joe did pretty good explaining everything but after pulling on the cord forever, it still wouldn't start. I called Jay and it turns out that Joe was backwards in a few things. I changed it and then pulled a bit more and it started.
I split quite a pile of wood and called it a day after bringing in wood for the stove and starting the stove, though I then did dishes. When Jay got home at 5:30, I told him that I was not cooking dinner. I gave him the option of eating out or cooking and we loaded the kids and headed out. I don't like eating out because the food is never very good for the price that we pay and the service usually isn't great. Last night was okay, not great, but not horrible either.
On the way home from the restaurant, Joe asked what stores stay open all night. We told him the names of a few and then he asked "What about Geico?" We answered that yes it is open all night but that it wasn't really a store. He asked what it was and we explained that they sold car insurance and that you paid a little each month and then if you had an accident, they would fix your car. Joe asked if car insurance was expensive and we both replied yes. Then Joe said "but you can save a bunch of money by switching to Geico." Jay and I laughed so hard because Joe was so serious! Oh my it was so funny!
The rest of the evening was uneventful, though Lost did premier and of course, I watched it and was sucked in again. So much for me not watching as much tv this year!
