Blogs

At least once a month, someone sends me a link to a blog that they have read. They usually only know of said blog through a friend of a friend of a friend who found it randomly. The blogs are typically horribly depressing. I almost always read them though. I just can't stop myself. (Of course, if I slept regular hours, I wouldn't feel the need to pass the time in the middle of the night reading sad, sad blogs)
Sometimes, the link will sit in my email for a week or so before I read it, but I almost always read it. All of them make me cry. The blogs to date have all been about mothers and children. Typically someone dies. Tears, large sobs, lots of tissues... really, really need to stop reading them.
Though, I must say I read one today. I did cry, but for a whole different reason. No large sobs, but lots of tears. The love this mother shows for her daughter just moved me. (no death!)
The blog has been going on since 07, but my friend said I had to a least go back to Christmas of 09. The photography is stunning and the complete thoughts and love that this mother shows is awe inspiring. The mother turned 31 in December, has a young daughter and one on the way. I read up to the most current where her newest daughter is born.
Spoiler alert: The new daughter has down syndrome. There are about 3 entries that deal with the birth. And the love and support and pictures capture it all. Yes, there is a little hesitation from the mom (she documents her feelings with such honesty). Though her mind may have said "what?", her face in the pictures says nothing but love. I love that the pediatrican tells the mom "your daughter is beautiful and perfect".
