One of the worst Christmases ever was the year that my mom's mother died two days before Christmas. Grandma was in the hospital for heart problems and was scheduled for open heart surgery on the 23rd. She made it through surgery, but her heart and lungs couldn't function on their own after she was taken off bypass. Since her chances weren't great for the surgery, we all traveled to Arkansas early to vist with her. We celebrated a very subdued Christmas on the 25th and had the funneral on the 27th. As a result, my mom hates being a lone around Christmas. I don't even like looking at pictures of us opening our presents that year because I know that none of us were really in the Christmas spirit.
Preschool Preview Night is finally behind me for the year and I feel like a big weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I stress for weeks leading up to the event about whether or not the event will be a good or not. This year it all went very smoothly and was a great success!
Joe and Tom are very excited about traveling to Indiana on Sunday. They really want to go see Uncle Nick and Aunt Kelly. We have never visited them before so it will be a new experience.
This is day number 2 on the half dose of Lexapro. I am not real thrilled about these side effects. There is a lot of nausea and headaches. Hopefully, in a few days, they will go away. Mood hasn't really improved, but it is too early still and not a full dose.
It took two weeks for the medication to metabolize in my system. Don't count it out until at least two weeks...that is also the time that my dizziness subsided.
